Introduction

For years I have felt the need to express my artistic fantasies. Although this process has taken some time to develop, I now enjoy the art of painting. My main inspiration comes from my inner self, and my cheerful and optimistic outlook on life is reflected in my paintings. Since life has a lot to offer, I'm sure that this source of inspiration will not be easily exhausted. I cannot imagine creating a painting based on sadness, gloominess, or pessimism.

As you can see, I am most interested in modern abstract art, especially the work of Wassily Kandinsky, Willem de Kooning, Joan Mitchell, Jackson Pollock, and Mark Rothko. These artists have been an inspiration to me. However, the Leitmotif in my work is my inner self. By showing my paintings on this site, I hope to transfer this inspiration to others.

I try to express myself by using certain colours, lines, and shapes. I am often pleased with the results, but once in a while I end up with something of which I am less enthusiastic. In the beginning I put every single painting on this site, but nowadays I restrict myself to the ones satisfying me. I leave it up to you to judge the paintings for yourselves.

I hope you have fun looking at my paintings!
